Here, is a list of indicators from financial perspective which could be good starting point as we move away from doing lip service to IT-Business alignment issue to actually working towards it. There are 10 indicators to start with.

It would be good to have your feedback if you have already used some of them or if you plan to pick few of them this year. How about coming back and reviewing them in Jan 2011?

    I will definitely take a look at them Sunil. I usually tried to use the very same financial indicators the business has with the other areas with IT: budget prediction and execution, budget growth, execution accuracy, provider qualification, cost effectiveness, etc.

    What I usually do is try to go with the business flow and avoid local indicators, as they usually are not taken into account into the business, unless the CIO pushes them to be part of the managerial dashboard.
