Can anyone recommend a good Business Process Modeling tool?

I'm looking for a tool with an easy-to-use interface to standardize how business groups are documenting business processed. The flows need to be stored on a SharePoint server or in an Oracle database.

    Hi,
If you looking for easy to use and learn quickly the Microsoft Visio is the best tool. Being MS family storing in share point should not be a issue at all. Hope it helps.

I completely agree with ferozt, especially in a SharePoint environment. Likewise I would take advantage of SharePoint to create business process sites that allow those teams working on processes to collaborate. You can track team meetings, maintain process documents, and even provide real-time progress of your process improvement efforts through SP sites.

I am using Enterprise Architect, it supports BPMN, a very good tool for integrated development process right from understanding business models to development and finally testing and deployment. I am not sure but I think this will also allow to directly incorporate the flow within EA development tools and further to oracle server.

However, if you are looking for a development centric BPM tool, I would suggest using UML, BPMN is still a kind of process oriented tool, you can emulate processes and actors only, whereas UML allows you to define processes with respect to nodes/actors/data/process terminals. This can directly be incorporated into class design and further development.

    Hope this helps.
