Thread: Next big thing in BPM?

I think BPM will become more of a commodity technology in its simple form. There will be more and more process tools allowing for easy process creation, deployment and monitoring. They will cover all the simple process scenarios such as found in the product order processes and similar. One of the required conditions for this to happen is user education and real value from implementation.
All the major software corporations and open source initiatives go for unstructured content and its organization and management. Issues such as governance, risk and compliance will have to be handled in more manageable way. They will touch more and more business not only top banks and financial services firms.
E-government services is an area which still needs lots of work, for their process are not near structured, but very dynamic.
